Reynolda Gardens Receives U.S. Fish & Wildlife Grant
Reynolda Gardens has received a Partners for Fish and Wildlife grant from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for the development of the 16.1-acre Reynolda Gardens Meadow. This project will target the conversion of a portion of the historic golf links course containing non-native vegetation to a diverse herbaceous meadow to include native warm season grasses, forbs and legumes. Along with the woods, wetlands, streams, and gardens, this open area completes the variety of habitats that are included in the 129-acre Reynolda Gardens preserve.
Seeding of the meadow will begin in winter 2013.
