Science Café: “Is Civic Engagement Good for You? Science, Stories, and Suggestions to Support Healthy Civic Engagement”
Engaging in civic life is important for maintaining a healthy democracy. Recent research suggests that civic engagement is also important for individual health. This talk will present research connecting civic engagement with health and will suggest some ways to promote healthy civic engagement.

Science Café is an international movement that brings people together for an evening discussion about science. Scientists make a short presentation about their work and then encourage participants to join the conversation. These events are co-sponsored with Kaleideum North. Free and open to the public. No registration is required. Teachers receive a certificate of attendance for CEU.
