Young Naturalists Summer Program Session One
June 18, 2018 - June 22, 2018 • RGWFU Education Wing
Young Naturalists Summer Camp 2018 – “The Wild, Wacky, and Wonderful World of Dr. Seuss”
Monday, June 18th, through Friday, June 22nd 9:00 a.m. until noon or 5:00 p.m.*
These one-week sessions are for children who have completed grades one through five. Young Naturalists spend the week exploring the gardens, greenhouses, woodlands, meadows, and streams of Reynolda with expert naturalists and scientists. Students are accompanied by adult volunteers and student assistants.
Dr. Seuss inspired generations to think about and promote care for the natural world. Through his wacky approach readers have delighted in his stories that focus on being good stewards of our Earth. Join us for this fun-filled week of activities, which will include exploring the many ecosystems of Reynolda, a variety of games and natural crafts, planting in the Children’s Garden, and a swim in the Reynolda House pool, all inspired by the writings of Dr. Seuss.
$135.00 per week, per child. * Full day is optional, not required. The full day option includes activities until 5 p.m. and requires an additional $50 fee. Scholarships are available. Registration begins March 1st. See the Reynolda Gardens’ website or Facebook page for further information and to register. Please call or email the Education Office with any questions and inquiries on availability.
