Supporting Reynolda Gardens
The Reynolda Gardens Endowment, established by the Deeds of Gift from the Mary Reynolds Babcock Foundation, does not fully support the needs of a public garden in the twenty-first century. With no admission charge, additional funding must come from other sources.
Each year, the generous contributions of the Friends of Reynolda Gardens go toward operating expenses and support of community and educational programs. A Friends Drive is held each spring but Reynolda Gardens welcomes donations year around.
Volunteers assist in the gardens, greenhouses, woods, and meadow; with educational programs and sales. Orientation meetings are held at the beginning of each season.
Income from sales helps support garden maintenance and educational programs. The Plant Shop in the greenhouse is open during regular hours and special sales are held throughout the year. The Garden Club Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County, which operates the Garden Boutique in the Head House, donates a portion of its proceeds to Reynolda Gardens.
