Volunteers

The Gardens rely on the generous time and commitment of volunteers for garden and greenhouse care in addition to educational offerings. Volunteer positions are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and are available for multi-year appointments. Prior experience is helpful but not necessary. Orientation meeting schedules are announced in the Calendar of Events, in the monthly e-letter, Reynolda Gardens News, and on Facebook.
Volunteers from various groups also assist with sales and special events. For information on volunteer opportunities, follow the link below.
Education Volunteers
Lead groups of students on walks in the gardens, greenhouses, woods, and meadow and assist with special programs for children; one or two mornings a week during the school year and early summer.
Vegetable Garden Volunteers
Plant, maintain, and harvest; Thursday mornings throughout the growing season.
Cottage Garden Volunteers
Plant and maintain the demonstration gardens; Wednesday mornings.
Rose Garden Volunteers
Assist with rose care; Monday mornings.
